We had a great turnout for this year's NOODs at Larchmont so we declared it the Frers 33 Long Island Sound Championships. The racers experienced a wide variety of wind conditions from light and fluky for the first and last races, to a nice 10 knot breeze during the middle races. The racing was tight as evidenced by first place finishes being shared by Wolverine, Out of Reach II, and Bon Coeurs and the tight spread across the top 4 boats. Going into the last race, there was a tie for first and only 1 point separating 1st from 3rd. In the end, consistency paid off for Brilliant who, while never taking a first place finish, took second place in every race to win the series by 3 points. Congratulations to everyone who participated in this outstanding event. Let's plan to do it again next year!
